This module is part of hands-on training for cultural organisations, namely Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums (GLAMs) and youth organisations carrying out cultural activities with their young participants. The module is designed to share knowledge and examples on the way social media can be used to actively engage youth (especially in crisis situations such as the current pandemic) in cultural activities and in a way that is meaningful and enriching to young audiences.

In this course, participants get to know what telecollaboration is and how to prepare a successful telecollaborative exchange. Driven by our strong belief that cultural heritage protection and preservation should be at the forefront of collective efforts, especially during conflicts, in this case the Ukrainian war, we felt the need to act by identifying initiatives highlighting the way open innovation can maximise the impact and effectiveness of such efforts to communities involved.

Digital actions (citizen engagement activities for a social purpose) have a big learning potential. The purpose of this resource is to understand the learning potential from the perspective of (digital) skills gain.Competences and skills gained during a social participation activity, taking place within a university or a community, and ways of understanding how they develop and how they can be assessed, is the objective of this training resource.It is designed for organisers of digital actions (citizen engagement activities for a social purpose) allowing them to identify the learning potential of these actions, and the skills gained therein.
